Pat is a prominent spokesperson for food, commodity and pharmaceutical clients.  Her clients include Unilever, Mazola, P&G, Quaker, US Blueberry Council, and National Dairy Council.

Her nutrition and health segments have aired on national stations like CNN and CBS; and she’s done numerous TV and radio satellite media tours.

My blog is written and edited by me, unless otherwise indicated. For any questions please contact:

I am a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) and a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.  That affiliation binds me to the Code of Ethics for the Dietetics Profession. It requires that I conduct myself with honesty, integrity and fairness, as well as support and promote high standards of professional practice.

In addition, I must practice using evidence-based principles and current information.  Furthermore, I have pledged to adopt the Guiding Principles of RDs4Disclosure and am listed as a member on their website.

I have over 25 years of experience as a healthcare professional in marketing and communications.  I look at the science before I speak, write, teach, or lecture.  As the science evolves and changes, so do my opinions.  I am a solo practitioner and mostly work as a paid consultant and spokesperson to food and pharmaceutical companies; and teach at the university level.

The information in my blogs is an expression of my views.   My commitment to speak from the science doesn’t change whether or not a client compensates me.

This blog does not accept any form of cash advertising, sponsorship, or paid topic insertions. However, we will and do accept and keep free products, services, travel, event tickets, and other forms of compensation from companies and organizations; and that will be disclosed.  When I do, or when I represent a company as a paid consultant, I will be transparent in that representation.
