About
Pat Baird, MA, RDN, FAND
Confident Health communicates evidence-based information about the impact of nutrition and diet to consumers, health care professionals, and the media. That information bridges the relationship of food intake to health and wellness for people of all ages.
I’m a registered dietitian nutritionist, media spokesperson, adjunct professor, award-winning author, and owner of Confident Health. My specialty is creating evidence-based nutrition communications targeted to a variety of audiences, including consumers, healthcare professionals, and the media.
Every week is different; and I wear many hats. In between doing live TV segments for local stations across the country, I’m a professor of nutrition at University of Connecticut-Stamford and Norwalk Community College. I’m President of the Connecticut Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and I also serve as an Advisory Board member to several organizations.
Corporate wellness has always been a big part of my practice. Early in my career, when I was Administrative Dietitian at Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, I was Nutrition Consultant to the Medical Director at CBS. I developed and delivered their first program on weight management, as well as other topics. That launched me into doing programs for a range of companies and key topics.
These many hats, and the corresponding relationships in and around the field of nutrition—with global consumer brands, a wide variety of practicing nutritionists and healthcare professionals, students and future professionals—enhance my ability to tailor nutrition communications and enable me to make unique connections for my clients.
I hold a Master’s degree in Nutrition & Dietetics from New York University, and have earned certificates in Adult Weight Management (from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics) and Advanced Nutrition Counseling (from the American Heart Association).
My client portfolio has included Mazola, P&G, GlaxoSmithKline, Tropicana, and Quaker.
